Our client, a niche but highly recognisable brand, has requested Hexagon to help them recruit an experienced Facilities Manager based at their European Distribution Centre in Bognor Regis.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Bognor location has effectively managed facilities and related services to support day-to-day operational needs and longer-term business strategies. These will include, but not be limited to: inspecting, maintaining and repairing internal/external building fabric, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results; managing security fire, access control and CCTV systems; space optimisation and moves management; managing switchboard, reception, mailroom, copier, stationery and office supplies services; location-specific catering arrangements; cleaning, grounds maintenance and pest control; pool car administration and maintenance; Health and Safety compliance; procurement and invoice processing; shareholder engagement plus support for local and UK community group initiatives.

Working closely with the Senior Facilities Manager, you will develop strategic business plans for the Bognor location and the associated Opex and Capex operating budgets. You will review, update and propose changes to standard operating and facility practices and participate in corporate initiatives when appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for FM and will be able to follow company policies and procedures as well being able to work autonomously. You will a good general understanding of hard and soft services, health and safety (IOSH or NEBOSH accreditation), budget management, an appreciation for workplace design and property lease administration. You will be well organised with good people management skills, strong leadership qualities and good networking abilities.
