College Facilities Manager

East Midlands

Up £35,450 plus attractive benefits package

Facilities Manager required to manage a modern educational campus in the East Midlands leading a team of estates staff to ensure our students, staff and visitors have a great experience when on site.

This is a varied and interesting role which involves managing the team and site so that it operates in a clean, maintained and safe manner. You will have previous experience as a facilities manager and will manage the FM through a team of directly employed staff and outsourced contractors. Internal team will include Admin, Health & Safety and Estates Officers.

You will have responsibility for the following:

* Health and Safety

* Cleaning

* Catering and Vending

* Building Maintenance

* Grounds Maintenance

* Security

* Space Planning

* Procurement and Contract Management

* Utilities and Communications

* Events

You will have experience of managing expenditure budgets to include CAPEX and you will enjoy negotiating with contractors for services and products. You will have also have key holder responsibility.

This is fantastic opportunity for an experienced FM who is looking to work in a modern building in a fast-paced environment and through your teams, create a great place to learn and teach.

The ideal candidate will hold a qualification in Facilities Management or general management such as ILM. You will either hold membership to British Institute of Facilities Management or be able to qualify. A qualification in health and safety such as NEBOSH OR IOSH, would be a distinct advantage. Experience of working in an education setting would be useful, but not essential.

You will be required to take a DBS check as you will be working with children and adults. Our client offers flexible working to ensure all applicants are welcome and represented. Working week is 37 hours (flexible hours available as long as core hours are covered and site is running smoothly and safe).

This role offers a salary of up to £35,000 dependent on experience
