Our client are now seeking a senior HVAC engineer, to be based at a healthcare facility in Mansfield.

The successful candidate will help to deliver the efficient and effective operation and maintenance of mechanical ventilation and related building services systems, ensuring of statutory compliance and good engineering practices.

Typically, responsibilities will include maintenance/statutory compliance co-ordination and Authorised Person duties with respect to Ventilation systems, including Critical Ventilation, smoke dampers, fire dampers etc, Medical Gas Pipeline Systems, pressure systems and fire alarm systems.

Duties will include;

To be Authorised Person for relevant and appropriate systems where qualified Ventilation Systems. (Additional training given)

Liaising with all levels of management and staff.

Work closely with other technical staff to deliver statutory compliance..

To prepare, implement and management reactive and planned maintenance to a high level.

To manage external sub-contractors and professionals as required.

Attend meetings with the client's representatives and sub-contractors.

Ensure work are completed within a reasonable time and recorded in the CAFM system.

To assist in the management of log-books and records.

To assist in the promotion of good health and safety and quality practices.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience maintaining mechanical systems, especially ventilation systems within a healthcare/hospital environment. You will be competent in the use of Microsoft Office programmes and will have a good working practical knowledge of CAFM systems.
