BIFM Qualifications Levels
Level 3 is for first line team leaders and supervisors, aimed at developing understanding and knowledge of the FM industry and function. This is suitable for new entrants and those gaining their first roles in FM.
Level 4 provides a broad understanding of facilities management for experienced operations staff who are responsible for a range of FM functions. This level is also suitable for experienced supervisors, junior managers wishing to extend their operational knowledge to extend their roles and responsibilities.
Level 5 is aimed at facilities managers at middle management level who have considerable experience and responsibility for more specialised and complex functions. You are likely to have both staff and budget responsibility, either one large site or several smaller premises.
Level 6 develops the strategic skills and knowledge required of senior facilities managers working as Head of Department, Account Director or Consultant. It is targeted at those with a high level of responsibility who need to understand both current thinking and new concepts.
